The information you submit is password protected and available only to judges. However, sponsoring organizations cannot accept responsibility for protecting the ideas of competition participants. Therefore, we recommend that you do not include trade secrets or confidential information in your submissions.  Additionally, it is the responsibility of each team to determine if their ideas or concepts are the property of any other person or organization. The competition and its sponsors are not responsible for any disclosure resulting from your participation in the competition.

The original idea presented at the competition remains the team’s property. We recommend to teams that feel the need to protect their idea to consider submitting a provisional patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
